  • Question: Do you actually still want to contribute to AB Wiki?

    • You can blame Qaz, but the reason why was because you stated that you knew how to be admin and you sounded so "I know how to do everything" and so narrow-minded that we let our anger get the best of us. Anyways, the past is the past.

    • Well, I'm sorry. Though, I do know tools and such, so I can be a good admin. But, I understand.

  • Hey Rainbow Dash! It's been brought to my attention that content here is being directly copied from the Call of Duty Wiki. This is perfectly acceptable with the Creative Commons license (CC-BY-SA 3.0), but, in order to meet the requirements of the license, all re-used content has to be properly attributed.

    The easiest and most effective way to do this is to put some sort of notice at the bottom of the page. For example, in the case of Whiskey Hotel which has content from COD Wiki's Whiskey Hotel page, you could put the following:

    This page uses content from the Call of Duty Wiki page Whiskey Hotel. For a full list of the page's authors, see the page's edit history.

    The wikitext for that would be:

    This page uses content from the [[w:c:callofduty|Call of Duty Wiki]] page [[w:c:callofduty:Whiskey Hotel|Whiskey Hotel]]. For a full list of the page's authors, see the page's [http://callofduty.wikia.com/index.php?title=Whiskey_Hotel&action=history edit history].

    You would then do that for any other page that uses content from pages on the Call of Duty Wiki, including pages that have already been created and any future pages using content from the Call of Duty Wiki (or any other wiki for that matter). That will satisfy the terms of the CC-BY-SA license and allow you to reuse the content.

    Please begin adding this attribution to pages ASAP, before you begin creating any additional pages, and please let me know when this is finished. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions as well. Thanks!

    • Okay. Allow me to have time to start creating a template containing the said information, and once it is complete, I will paste it on all the pages. Okay? Thanks!

    • Sounds good. Let me know when it's all done. Thanks!

  • It's done with CSS. You can find it on here. The code is:

    body.mediawiki  {
      background:#262626 url(IMAGEURLHERE) fixed center top no-repeat !important;
    }

    You'd need to add it to MediaWiki:Wikia.css and put an image URL in where it says IMAGEURLHERE.
